Privacy Policy

How SimplyGift handles information for donors, nonprofits, and visitors.

Effective: September 21, 2026

Who we are and this policy

SimplyGift is a fundraising and giving platform operated by Adaira LLC (“Adaira,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit SimplyGift, create an account, donate, apply for or manage a nonprofit profile, use a subscription, or contact us.

This policy does not replace a nonprofit’s own privacy notice. When you give to, communicate with, or otherwise interact with a nonprofit through SimplyGift, that nonprofit may separately handle your information under its own practices.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, account credentials, profile details, support messages, nonprofit application information, campaign descriptions and updates, and other content you choose to submit. If you donate, we receive information needed to identify the donation, the nonprofit or campaign, the amount, payment status, optional fee coverage choice, and related receipt and refund information.

Payments are processed by Stripe and, where applicable, a nonprofit’s connected Stripe account. We do not store complete payment-card numbers. We may receive transaction identifiers, card brand and last four digits, payment status, billing details, and fraud or dispute information from Stripe as needed to operate, secure, reconcile, and support transactions.

When you use SimplyGift, we may automatically receive technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages or features used, timestamps, request logs, cookie or session identifiers, and security signals. We also retain information generated from your use of the Service, such as login, donation, account, moderation, payout, and audit records.

How we use information

We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve SimplyGift; create and administer accounts; process and reconcile donations, subscriptions, refunds, disputes, and payouts; verify and support nonprofit participation; display campaigns and related content; send service and security communications; respond to requests; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal, financial, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.

We do not sell personal information or use personal information for unrelated advertising. We use campaign, transaction, and account information only as needed to operate SimplyGift, meet our contractual and legal obligations, protect users, or with the permission of the person or organization involved.

How information is shared

We share donation and account information with the nonprofit or campaign shown at checkout as needed to identify, acknowledge, administer, and reconcile a donation. We share information with Stripe and other service providers that help us process payments, host and secure the Service, send communications, detect fraud, and provide support. Those providers may handle information only as needed to provide their services to us.

We may disclose information if required by law; to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Adaira, SimplyGift, users, nonprofits, or others; to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or violations; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

Campaign and nonprofit information

Campaign content and nonprofit profile information may be public or visible to the audiences selected in SimplyGift. Do not submit information you do not want displayed or shared for the campaign’s stated purpose. Nonprofits are responsible for ensuring that their profiles, campaigns, contact information, and communications are accurate, authorized, and lawful.

We may review, limit, remove, or preserve campaign content and account information when needed to enforce our terms, investigate reports, comply with law, or protect users and the Service. A report, block, or moderation action does not necessarily mean that all related records can be deleted immediately; financial, legal, safety, and audit obligations may require retention.

Retention and your choices

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain security, fulfill donation and subscription commitments, resolve disputes, meet financial, tax, and legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Donation, payout, refund, and audit records may need to be retained after an account is closed or content is removed.

You may update account information through the Service where available. You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support@simplygift.org. We will evaluate requests under applicable law and our retention obligations. Contact the nonprofit directly for requests about that nonprofit’s own records, fundraising communications, or tax acknowledgments.

Children, security, and changes

SimplyGift is not directed to children under 18. A parent or legal guardian may act for a minor only where permitted by law and where the guardian is authorized to do so. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials confidential and promptly report suspected unauthorized activity.

We may update this Privacy Policy as SimplyGift evolves. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law. Questions about this policy may be sent to support@simplygift.org.
